| What were the positives of this meeting? | Both our fathers are Humboldt Award winners for Chemistry! My Dad won a Humboldt in 80 (ish) and her Dad won a Humboldt in 89 (ish). The Humboldt award is given out by Germany and is similar to a Nobel prize but it’s not quite as high honors. There were an amazing number of similarities: Both of us are very intelligent, outdoorsy, energetic, smart people. We both love birds, backpacking and have studied animal behavior. |
