Comments This restaurant (the last-minute substitute for Maya) was a fantastic place. The food was expensive but it was totally worth it. (Don’t send me back here more than once a month, though; my wallet can’t handle it!) The table was calculated mix of odd personalities, but it seemed to work well. L.G. (one R!) was a pleasant conversationalist who kept the discussion flowing. N.T. was great to talk to; I felt a real connection with her. J.E. was ebullient and entertaining in small doses.
I am Interested in Contacting N.T.. We exchanged cards after the dinner but I only got her work phone and email. We agreed that we would like to see each other again.
With whom did I connect best? Why? N.T. and I connected the best. She has a combination of self-confidence, a snarky sense of humor, and a genuine warmth, which is an awesome combination. She’s into science, like me, and does hiking and trail-running, like me. We exchanged contact cards after the dinner and agreed that we want to see each other again.

What was your first impression? She is extremely shy? Haha I felt like I had to keep the conversation going a lot. But definitely the best match I’ve met yet.
What was your overall impression when
the date was over?		 R.E. is a nice girl, but very shy. I don’t think she’s not interested. Probably the closest thing to my ideal girl yet. R.E. is one of two of the cutest girls I’ve seen yet.
Have you set up another date? She added me on facebook, so we shall see.
What were the positives of this meeting? She was laughing a lot, so I’d say that was a good thing. Made me feel good.
Additional Comments R.E.  met a lot of what I was looking for in qualities. Petite, thin, snowboarded, and went out dancing on occassion. Having Blonde hair and blue eyes was a huge plus. R.E. was  shy though and I felt like I was creating the conversation during the dinner but she laughed a lot and began to warm up to me.

Comments I really enjoyed the differences in the company at our dinner party. I appreciated that I was conversing with people from different walks of life who have had such varied experiences. As a group I believe we got along well, we had a few good laughs, mainly from K.Q.’s plate arriving with a pigeon claw sticking out of it and her not knowing that she’d ordered pigeon… Priceless. Got R.U. to go and find Fenton’s after dinner. Very nice people. Enjoyed some after dinner coffee. Got to ride on the Bart with B.R. a little and we were able to discuss the evening for a short while.

With whom did I connect best? Why? I think I connected best with R.U., mainly because we were seated next to one another and could develop a rapport. He was quiet initially but he warmed up quite a bit after a while, enough so that we could go ot with B.R. after dinner. Has an interesting job. I also enjoyed G.P. He was very personable and the ‘professional’ diner at the table. And when there was an issue with my dinner check, he graciously waited with me until it was resolved. I thought that was nice.

Would you like to have another date with this person ? Yes, I would be honored. I think H.A. is a very nice, fun outgoing person. She has a lot of energy and is very easy to chat with. In turn this made for a very enjoyable experience.
What did you do on your first meeting? We met for an early dinner, sat down, ate and got to know each other.
What was your first impression? My first impression was WOW. She is a beautiful girl and I was thinking, why is she meeting people through table for six? I also felt she may be very young. But getting to know her she wasn’t as young as I thought. Younger yes, too young no. She is also very attractive, inside and out.
What was your overall impression when
the date was over?		 My overall impression was that H.A. is a very nice girl and I feel privileged to have had the experience in meeting her. She seams to be a very sweet girl and was very easy to make conversation with her. She was on time, texted me ahead to let me know she was on the way and overall just a pleasure to chat with. She asked questions of me and I was able to learn about her as well. I can’t think of one negative thing about her. H.A. has a lot going for her. She is a wonderful example of how meeting people should be. On the flip side, I was nervous at the ending and forgot to leave a tip. After leaving and realizing this I went back and left one. I felt so bad?. I was a little sad honestly the our time together was ending.
Have you set up another date? No?.. I didn?t feel comfortable in asking. We sat and chatted for about an hour and half, and then she stated she needed to get going. Even though I feel we had a good time, I felt maybe based on the ending she may not be interested. Really not sure though, I think H.A. could chat with anyone. A very nice girl.
What were the positives of this meeting? The positives were she is a great person, easy to chat with, enjoyable conversation, and not stuck on her self. She seams to live a good life with a lot of variety of interest.
Additional Comments I would enjoy getting to know her better and hang out with her some more. I am not sure if we are soul mates, but I am sure if that didn’t happen she would be a great friend. I propose the idea of developing a friendship, no pressure and see what happens. What ever happens I can say A.H. seems like a really nice girl. I wish all meeting of people where as nice as her. She just seems like the girl who would be friendly to anyone. I was extremely impressed. I would like to learn more about her.

Hi Mandy, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU!!!  for setting me up with A.M.  What a really attractive guy and as nervous as I was about being “older” than him it was no big deal.  My first date with a younger man and believe it or not my son has always told me I should date someone in their 40′s!! What did you do on your first meeting? We went to The Grill. We each got a drink, and we ordered dinner eventually.
What was your first impression? When I first met him, I could tell that he was shy. It did not bother me one bit…I totally understand it takes people time to get comfortable. I could tell he got more and more comfortable as time went on. We spent around 3 hours at dinner, so I think he felt at ease by the end.
What was your overall impression when
the date was over?		 I liked him. I could tell we had a LOT in common in terms of traveling, enjoying the sun, types of movies, etc. I think it would be easy to spend time with him more and more.
Have you set up another date? Yes. We are planning to go out again this coming Saturday.
What were the positives of this meeting? I think we really have the same sense of humor, which I think is really important. It took time to find that out, but I think we would enjoy that aspect of one another as we get comfortable enough to joke with each other. I would not usually say I’m attracted to shy people, but I think R.K. can be really out-going when he is comfortable with someone. It is no big deal that he is shy to start off as a result. If someone is just shy and quiet, I do not think I’d match too well with him…but shy to start is no big deal. I look forward to seeing if hanging out a second time brings more sparks as a result. I’ll let you know.

Comments Ok Dee… Here we go… LOL So, I have to say that this table mingled better than the last dinner partly because of the personalities there. I think everyone had a great time. I like D.R.s and R.T.’s figures better than R.A.’s. R.A. had a cute face, and I’m a sucker for long blonde hair. LOL  D.R. was the closest though in being able to connected with.  I still had a great time!!
I am Interested in Contacting I’m conflicted in wanting to pursue which of the girls from this last dinner, it was an improvement from the first one in terms of “meshing” with one another. Kudos for that Dee.
With whom did I connect best? Why? Loved the outgoingness of R.A. She was bubbly and talkative and I love when a girl is like that.  D.R. was a little shy at first and quiet most of the night but by the end of the night we were joking about her taking me rock climbing only if I would be able to take her snowboarding. She was the best person in terms of shared interests since doing dinners. She’s outdoorsy and likes adventure. I like that.  Somewhat attracted to her a  but liked her alot and she’s a really nice girl. R.T. seemed content with being more passive than the other girls.
Future Event Suggestions I think you are doing a good job Dee. I tell everyone how much fun i’m having. You are getting to know my type more and more. Very athletic, petite, and outgoing. Blonde hair never hurts either. :) I think I’m ready to do a one on one if you think I am! I know you had a few girls picked out, so just say the word!  Can’t wait for the next dinner!!!

Hitting it off Pretty Well

Hi Anni,   When we spoke last week, I had said that I was keeping Friday night open in case you had a dinner set up.  When I got the green light from you, I called L.I. and I took her to a play.  We had a great time.  Before the play started, we spoke a little about what we wanted out of T46, etc.  I told her that I wasn’t sure about getting into a relationship so quickly and that I wanted to go to another dinner next week.  I could hear the disappointment in her voice when she said that that was fine.   But, by the end of the evening, were hitting it off pretty well and it seemed best to be with her rather than persue someone else.  After the play, we went out to The Roadhouse for food and drinks and the subject of dating came up again.  She began telling me how she was very interested in persuing a relationship with me and then I told her that I was going to contact you when I got home and say that I would like to cancel the upcoming dinner.  She seemed happy with that announcement.  We stayed until about 1:00 a.m. and then kept our original plan of meeting for breakfast the next morning.   She is out of town right now and we have been communicating via e-mail regularly.  We are going to get together on Saturday; not sure what we’ll do, but I’ll figure something out.  You said that you had some information about her and what she likes, do you have a recommendation?   One thing for sure, she has lead, what I would refer to as a bit of a sheltered life.  The play we saw last week was the first one she had ever seen and she rarely goes to see concerts.  This is something I would like to explore with her and I have purchased tickets to see Wicked next month.   Anyway, thanks for the call. Comments  It has a great selection of beer and food. It was nice and casual.
I am Interested in Contacting I actually liked everyone. I’d totally stay in touch with any of those people. With respect to men, I think H.I. was most my type. In terms of attraction, I thought H.I. was best looking. S.E. is also cute but a little short for me. P.H. was a very nice, polite, attractive guy. What did you do on your first meeting? We talked for about a half hour before even ordering drinks. :) We ordered wine, and talked a lot. We had dinner, and the food was wonderful.
What was your first impression? E.S. was well dressed with a black shirt, jacket and shoes with dark jeans. Height was good this time…I only mention it as I said something about it last time. Ha-ha. Very good looking…good smile.

the date was over?		 The more we talked the more I enjoyed E.S. and his personality.

What were the positives of this meeting? We had a lot of strange little things in common. He worked in Sierra County, and my family lived there when I was a little girl, so I knew exactly where he was talking about. He asked where I wine tasted around here. I told him my favored “area” to wine taste is Amador County. He has tasted there a lot too, so we could talk about favorite wineries in that area…a lot of the same. His favorite champagne is from Story Winery (rasberry champagne). My cousin worked at that exact winery, and the champagne he liked is my mom’s favorite. He is willing to try new things, and I like that as well. He was very open and easy to talk to all night.

What did you do on your first meeting? We met for drinks at the Cafe in Old Sacramento. We sat at the bar for 45 minutes and then S.U. suggested we have dinner. After dinner we walked around Old Sacramento. We went into a few shops and browsed. The last shop we went into was a costume/novelity shop. We had fun in there and got goofy trying on funny glasses. We walked back to the parking structure and sat in my car and talked.
What was your first impression? I immediately liked his smile! It was warm and friendly. He was easy to talk to. I was very nervous at first but he made me feel at ease. I thought he was handsome.
What was your overall impression when
the date was over?		 Well, I think it went well due to the fact it lasted 8 hours. Yes, Missy, 8 hours. It was all talking. There wasn’t an awkward moment. We laughed alot.
Have you set up another date? No, I think he wanted to get together on Monday because he asked a couple of times if I was off that day. He has the holiday off and I am working.
What were the positives of this meeting? The restaurant choice was nice, the surrounding area was also optimal because it gaves us a way to extend the date.
Additional Comments S.U. had a lot of qualities that I am looking for such as a sense of humor and good conversationalist. 8 hours of talking. I had not expected that, I think he didn’t want it to end. Well, that was my percetion. I was enjoying it. I think we had some things in common. I hope he does call and make another date. I look forward to talking to you Dee and giving you more information.

What did you do on your first meeting? Arrived at the same time and met at the entrance. We went into the bar area and had a drink & some appetizers.
What was your first impression? First impression was positive; C.L. had good energy and was pretty quickly engaging.
What was your overall impression when
the date was over?		 I really enjoyed spending this time with C.L. We arrived a little before the 7:30 date and left a little after 9pm. Conversation was very easy and I felt I had even more to ask her about. C.L. has traveled extensively internationally has a good job, is a stable person, likes to be active and she is attractive. She?s pretty darn great!

My Interest Remains Perked

Comments Had a good dinner experience. S.D. and B.H. were both interesting, intelligent, and attractive. They were both open and my interest in them grew as the evening evolved. I walked S.D. back to the garage her car was parked before getting interrupted seeing friends I had not seen for a few years. Unfortunately I allowed it to take my focus away from asking to see S.D. again. J.F. and A.K. were both good guys and made the dinner interesting and easy as a group. Good dinner and good company.
I am Interested in Contacting I am very interested in contacting S.D. again. B.H. was also interesting and would like contacting her but S.D. on first blush may be more age and possibly background the better match. First meeting is so difficult to read the tea leaves.
With whom did I connect best? Why? I think S.D. best but I found B.H. also had an interesting depth and maturity. I went to the dinner with low to nada expectation and left with high interest and this morning my interest remains perked.

Comments Overall a good table of people. H.M. tended to talk a lot. L.S. was fairly quiet, she was chatty when she and I got there first, but seemed to clam up when everyone got talking, I tried to bring her in the conversation sometimes, but it didn’t last long. C.A. was cool, I would hang out with her. The guys were all pretty attractive, actually. T.M. seemed to connect with C.A. more at the end of the night though. The three of us live fairly close to each other, so we walked the 2 miles home, which seemed a daily thing for them, I typically wouldn’t have walked though.
I am Interested in Contacting I would be interested in seeing T.M. or R.B. again. A bit unexpected for R.B., he’s not my usual type, but I think we have some interests in common, and he is a good looking guy. T.M. is closer to my type, and we did have some good conversation on pop culture, but I got the feeling he was more interested in C.A.
With whom did I connect best? Why? R.B. or T.M. Similar interests with both, but I feel like I didn’t get to talk with R.B. too much, so I’d be interested in seeing him one-on-one.
Future Event Suggestions This was a good place, the ambience was perfect.
