Happy New Year Fabulous Table for Six Team,

I am so happy to send you this email I received from T.K.and W.B.

The wonderful thing about their story is they were dating for about 6 months and she called me for some advice. She felt W.B. was distancing himself from her and she wasn’t feeling special. I know W.B. very well and I told her that he is the type of man who prides himself on working hard to support his son and to be able to afford nice outings and dates with her. I told her that some men have a hard time balancing family, work, and their relationship and she needed to be patient with him. I asked her if she truly loved him and she said she did with all her heart and I said, “Well, there’s your answer.” I also guided her and gave her some language to use when talking with W.B. about giving her more time.

Now they are officially getting married!!! Thanks to us at Table for Six!!!!

Wow!!! We really do make dreams come true!!!!

S.J. and C.S. met on his first dinner, her 2nd! They have gone out 3 rimes since! He actually just called to so I could put him on a hold for the rest of the month to see where this might lead with C.S! He said he is really enjoying her company! He is so cute.. he said he gave her a hug on the first night, and the second, a kiss on the cheek for the third  and the next one.. who knows! Te he How cute is that? Dee

Hi Dee,   Well, Dee, you scored! E.L. and I had a glorious 5-month relationship until last week when he started his sailing journey.  He told me 5 minutes into our first date that he was planning to take a sailing trip for 1-2 years in September. I didn’t think much of it until we started seeing each other more frequently, and then I would start to tear up every time he mentioned it. This was something he had been wanting to do for many years, and since his wife died last year, now was the perfect time for him to do it. (I kept asking him why he joined T46 knowing that he was going to be leaving, but he was never able to give me a good answer).     I want to thank you for selecting him for me. I can honestly say that I fell in love with him! The last time I fell in love was in 1994, with whom would eventually become my husband.  Interestingly, I knew he was still grieving over his wife, but he managed to make me feel very special, and we always had a wonderful time. He actually touched my soul. Now I know what that means!   E.L. is an awesome guy. While we didn’t have a lot in common on the surface (he was into backpacking and sailing, and grew up in rural North Dakota, and I was into fine dining and traveling, and grew up in LA), we had a beautiful connection. I spent a fair amount of time on his boat, and we went sailing the last week he was in town.   I got to know his kids and grandkids, and I even threw a Bon Voyage party for him.  In addition to his family, there were about 30 other friends of our’s at the party.  He wowed all my friends, of course.   I just received a text from him. He is in Santa Barbara, making his way south to Mexico. Both of us have never texted so much!!  I love it!   I have no expectations about what the future will hold for us, but I do know that my life was enriched by knowing him.  Given what we had, I would like to think that I may meet him in Mexico or Tahiti, or somewhere in the Pacific.  His sailing venture, I hope, will help him finish his grieving process.  It sounded like his wife was a very special woman, and she died much too young.   On our last date, I managed for us to go back to the restaurant for dinner, where you had us meet. I also made sure we had the same table. We reenacted our first words when we sat down, and we toasted T46.   Not long after we met, I made plans to vacation in Turkey in October.  The timing couldn’t have been better. I leave next Monday and will be back at the end of the month.  Getting ready for the trip is helping me deal with him leaving.    I don’t think I will want to start to consider dating again until after the first of the year.     Thanks so much, Dee.  You helped make this year a most memorable one!

Angel,

I want to take time and thank you for all the help you have given me these past couple months. Like a pick pocket, you skillfully pick information from me; I never notice this as it occurs.  More importantly, you know what to use from that information and the garbled responses which I many times I have provided you. Through all this, you have kept a professional demeanor along with your friendly attitude. Quite frankly, you are so easy to speak with and to work with, and I know I am not; so kudos to you and to your professionalism.

Angel, I have wanted to just walk away from To6 several times. Each time, you have allowed me to vent and then always afterward, you have taken your time, like we were long standing friends, to speak directly and honestly with me. When I slow down and take a moment to listen, I realized that once again you were providing me with important information and that, once again, you have been correct and in my corner. I appreciate all that you have done for me Angel and, hopefully, I give back at least half of the enthusiasm you have shown me.

I have to tell you, I was very skeptical when you asked me to meet A.N.. However, your intuition and suspicion won the day. I am so taken with A.N., after only a single short lunch, and I believe she feels much the same. For this alone, I will forever be in your debt.

So here is what I wrote:

First I loved the table size and shape. In the past a rectangular table did not allow to talk to all parties. This table was just perfect (plus it was not too large) so that even the two people at the ends could talk, (of course everyone else could listen as we were in between.)

Everyone was quite pleasant and seemed like good people. A very open and articulate group who seemed to know how to enjoy themselves and others.

D.H. from Los Gatos was 45 minutes to an hour late which was good for me as when he got there he had quite a few life stories to tell and was quite personable and likable and could tell long but also somewhat interesting stories so I was glad I got my “time on stage” first.

I am told I have Mandy to thank for this. So thanks!!

The other D. was pleasant also but not with all the stories D. from Los Gatos had.

All three women were “quite dateable” as I saw no unpleasant characteristics. L.E. was the most attractive to me. Actually a bit weird since her name is L., she was born in Moscow, she has one son in his twenties which matches exactly the lady that I met at T46 six years ago and have been with since then up till a year ago. I was also attracted to M.H.P. from the little I could tell at the dinner. I guess I am the type of person who doesn’t look for “deal breakers” in people as I have seen others do. R.S. was also pleasant but somewhat quieter than the others.
