Just What I Had Hoped

Comments Mandy Thank you for arranging such a fabulous dinner – it was my best T46 experience ever!! The group had a great dynamic? We ate family style (dinner lasted for almost 3 hours!) and the conversation was wide-ranging and interesting. I hope everyone had as great a time as I did. When I signed-up for T46, tonight was all that I hoped it would be, the opportunity to meet professional singles who were happy w/ their life but open to a relationship. After 5 minutes at the table, it was pretty obvious – I would date any of the women!! Everyone was great; perfect age, obviously attractive, fashionably dressed, very personable, etc… Again, Thanks so much!!
I am Interested in Contacting I thought F.N. was delightful… She’s very outgoing and had a lot to share. T.C. was terrific. She’s super empathic (shared a personal story about a student) and seemed really fun too (shared some really humorous details of her 1st T46 dinner). To be honest, I didn’t talk to her as much as I would have liked.
With whom did I connect best? Why? I did spend as much time as I could in conversing w/ A.S. (As you know, you can’t control where people sit but I did make it a point to get there early to snag a center seat so that wherever A.S. sat, I would be reasonably close. As it turned out, I was fortunate to have A.S. sit next to me!!) She’s off to Maui this week (one of my favorite vacation spots). Anyway, she’s bright (Smith college is really well known for their Liberal Arts programs) and cultured (spent time living in France). Plus, she’s close to her family. I said that I’d ask you for her number, so please see if she’d be willing to provide when she’s back in town.
Future Event Suggestions Mandy, I’m not sure if this is a problem, but T46 listed the following people in my feedback for this dinner. J.N., R.G., E.I., F.N., T.C., A.S. Obviously, I’m missing!! Also, I need a little advice. It’s been mentioned to me by several people (H.L., M.N., & A.S.) that I’m not a typical engineer. While I take that as a compliment, I was thinking that maybe I could adjust my job title to better reflect what I do. I’m really a technical account manager?. To be truthful, I even refer to myself as a former engineer because so much of my focus is non-technical related. Anyway, please consider…

Comments I had fun and I think everyone else did also. Good restaurant, it wasn’t too loud so everyone could be heard. The waiters were even fun, one sang for us.

Comments It was a fun dinner, food was great ,service was great and since I don’t drive..I didn’t have any problems with the parking. I arrived first and when I sat down I positioned myself in the middle so that the girls would have to sit either next to me it across from me. C.A. ended up sitting across from me and I did what you ( Mandy…I’m assuming that you’re the person reading this.) Instructed me to do and made sure to engage her and got her to talk. I got her to laugh and smile quite a bit ( though I guess i’ll wait and see if she thought I was “nice”ie someone she’d like to see again or if I’m “nice but” ie we’re just friends ) so I’m hopeful.

I thought that she was very interesting and I had fun talking with her about some of the differentshows that she’s watching ( I think she had heard of 1 of the 4 or 5 shows I mentioned , but oh well can’t win for losing ;) . Comments It was a great table, everyone was fun to listen to. When the table is right, nothing like this exp. Talking and learning from five total strangers, walking out, actually knowing them. THANKS FOR HAVING TWO PEOPLE FROM MARIN CO. It made it so pleasant to discuss restaruants in Marin, and other topical events happening there.

What did you do on your first meeting? L.Y. and I met for a late lunch and chatted.
What was your first impression? My first impresion was wow, she is young, but very pretty. Then I was thinking “Dee”!!!!!!!
What was your overall impression when 
the date was over?		 After our three hour lunch chat, I was give the impression L.Y. is a very nice, kind, sweet young lady. Even though she is a little younger than anyone I would normally date, L.Y. has a great head on her shoulders. I feel she is the real honest deal. From our conversation, I gathered she has an awesome family, and great morals, and desires a future and family with someone. It appears we share some similar interest, and she has an open mind. After thinking things out after leaving, what more can I say, L.Y. is a great drama free girl. Who wouldn’t want to get to know her. The only thing I only thing I did think about after leaving was she didn’t ask much questions about me. Well if she’s interested then I guess there’s plenty of time to ask.
Have you set up another date? No, I wanted to ask but for some reason I was a little to nervous to ask especially after a nice hug goodbye. :) I figured I would leave this into Dee’s hands. My fingers are crossed. I don’t even have her number. LOL
What were the positives of this meeting? The postives were L.Y. is easy to talk to, down to earth, real. She is that girl next door type that any guy who wants a nice sweet girl would want to know.

Comments I think this was the best table for six experience yet…I was the last to show up (but not late!)…I immediately liked everyone at the table! I can’t explain why, but I did.
I am Interested in Contacting Believe it or not, I liked all three guys time time around! I also liked the girls L.K and L.O. a lot. J.G. had a nice smile and I found him to be very pleasant…G.N. was cool too and so was D.S. Conversation was good. I wouldn’t mind contacting everyone in our group! Seriously.
With whom did I connect best? Why? Hmm…at first I thought it was G.N…I liked him a lot…found him really cool and down to earth and I like the fact he used to work with high school kids. J.M. was charming and had the best smile ever..oh yes, and D.S. knew about the ukulele jam on the beach! J.M. is cool and down to earth…gosh it was hard to choose this time around. I really liked them all!!! I got eye contact with J.M…but not much eye contact with G.N. or D.S., but I like all three! I’d luv to see them again!!!

What did you do on your first meeting? We had dinner for two hours then waited for her train home about 30 minutes. It went by really fast.
What was your first impression? My first impression by messages and phone was that she was a very happy and cheerful person, and when I met her in person she seemed a bit older than I expected, but that was not an impediment for me.
What was your overall impression when 
the date was over?		 That she is a great person, I liked her and I felt chemistry. She is the kind of girl that I would take home and meet with family.
Have you set up another date? Sort of. We made a bet where if she guesses the riddle I made for her, I’ll take her to her favorite dessert place, whereas if she doesn’t, she’ll cook for me.
What were the positives of this meeting? Non-stop natural conversation with lots of laughter in between and great food and lots of things in common.
Additional Comments I loved the restaurant, I thought it was the same as Kuleto and McCormick’s but it wasn’t, this is much better and just in case I’d like to go to this place again sometime.

Comments I really enjoyed dining with this group. I found the men very intelligent and engaging. I didn’t get to know K.M. or Y.L. but that was because they were always in a conversation with one of the men : )
I am Interested in Contacting B.P., in one word, was delightful. I really had fun sitting next to him. He is fun, lively, and I found his honesty so refreshing. what did he say about me? Taking that nap during lunch resulted in me being quite the chatterbox during dinner. I would be open to seeing him again. I like J.T.’s understated confidence and found him to be very intelligent and nice. If he lived closer, I would be open to developing a friendship with him. Physcially and geographically, I think me may be better matched with K.M.or Y.L. : )

Comments It was great! I enjoyed interacting with my table-mates. The guys were attractive, decent, and humorous. It turned out that D.C., H.K., and I all went to UC Santa Cruz! L.F. and A.R. both were very pleasant, beautiful, and fun to hang out and talk to. I REALLY enjoyed meeting them all. There were laughter and good conversations. I felt the positive and upbringing atmosphere all through the dinner.

With whom did I connect best? Why? I felt J.L. and I had common interest in contributing to the society and charity of drinking water and environment. H.K. and I had similar interests in business and entrepreneurship. Future Event Suggestions I really like having dinner or just for two arrangements in Palo Alto and Redwood City area (or even Mountain View). Comments Hi Dee: Had a great evening with 5 other fun folks.
I am Interested in Contacting The three guys who were there, T.O., W.C.and W.L. were fantastic. I found myself chatting more with T.O. than anyone else, although everyone did participate in general conversation. W.C. was rather quiet and shy, however, I found him very fascinating–if he would be interested, I would be interested in contacting him.
With whom did I connect best? Why? I have to say I had the most fun with K.C.–what a hoot and what a background. It was interesting that we three ladies have backgrounds in law enforcement. For K.C’s first time out, she was wonderful and had us laughing alot.

With whom did I connect best? Why? The moment I first saw J.F. I felt a very strong attraction to her gorgeous face, and beautiful smile I knew then, she was someone very special. J.F. is definately the finest woman that I have met in a long time, and I would very much like to see her again soon. I think J.F. is super friendly, has a lovely voice and laugh, and is very considerate to others. At the parking garage I was able to get J.F.’s phone number. She offered and insisted on giving me a ride to my car, and I obliged. When we parted I wanted to kiss her, but instead gently shook her hand to say good bye. Comments This was a very nice and fun dinner! I really like this location and atmosphere (not too loud so we can carry a good conversation) and the food/service was excellent. We had a good coversation and laughed a lot. Everyone seems to be nice and polite to each other and participated in a good/intelligent/fun group conversation. Thank you for putting together a very nice dinner party!
I am Interested in Contacting D.B. - yes, Angel, as you mentioned, he is funny, intelligent and nice. I think he has a good positive attitude and can make people relax and comfortable talking to him. It seems like he has been to many different countries and very interesting person to talk to. I would like to get to know him better.

Future Event Suggestions I really like this location – food/service is always excellent and parking is always easy. They even waived the charge for the wine for the group which was very nice! Please continue to organize more dinner parties at this location!!

Comments We had several group discussions and the company was good. It was fun to see the differences in sports tastes among the group. There was many different side conversations. As Dee suggested I sat between N.S. and T.G.. We had good conversation. It seemed that D.K.and T.G. had more to say to each other than T.G. and I. I couldn’t get any connection with R.K. although her seemed very nice.
I am Interested in Contacting I would like to see N.S. again, we just seemed to not have enough one on one time even though we did talk alot. To me we seemed to have several things in common. SUPER lady!! Sooner the better.

Comments What can I say……probably the most enjoyably table for six experience to date so far. It’s not easy to get 8 strangers together and be very comfortable with easy other straight away, but it was done here with lots of planning from our crafty organizer. By the end of the night I could see that no one wanted it to end. As I was first to arrive, I careful planted myself in a good position at the table. By luck or faith I managed to be surround by 3 of the ladies. I mostly talked to M.K. and R.E. who were each side of me. R.E. pointed out that I should order one the deserts on the menu, “menage a trois”…but I said I maybe having it right now.Well we all like desserts, right.

Comments This was a  table for fun, and interesting people. This bunch of people was friendly and easy to talk and joke with. K.H. was very quiet and would interject if he was asked a question. I sat between R.I. and the other gentlemen.. I liked K.H., he was nice looking, funny and easy to talk to. The other guy was funny too, however, not my type. W.L. was nice lady. This time we all actually spoke about what we did and all of them traveled which was nice to hear about. We did laugh a lot, which was fun. R.I did not want the night to end and W.L. and I joined him for a drink in the bar, the other 2 men had to leave, but we all exchanged #’s.
I am Interested in Contacting I liked R.I., not sure if he is a love interest but sounds like a lot of fun. He is very outgoing and he said he misses not have someone around. He loves to travel and has been all over the world.

Comments Great table, Mandy! The restaurant was perfect for a table dinner, nice and quiet, it was a round table, which made it much easier to talk to everyone. The people at the table were all really great. E.F. and I both arrived first and chatted it up right away. Very sweet girl.

With whom did I connect best? Why? Again, T.P.. We seem to have a ton in common, not just our area of work, but interests too. And on a couple of occasions, I’d reply to something said by the guy sitting to my opposite side, which T.P. must not have heard, because he’d say nearly the exact same thing 2 seconds later. Great minds! It was also really cute that T.P. had a list on his phone with “icebreaker questions”. Sometimes I had to remember to be social with everyone else, and not just talk solely to T.P.

When the date was over what was your overall impression?		 She is definitely someone I would like to get to know more. Not sure whether a relationship is high on her priorities but I am new to the US and know very few people so building up a group of friends is very important to me.
Have you set up another date? No specific time as she travels a lot for work but intend to meet up next time she is in San Francisco
What were the positives of this meeting? We have a number of things in common, especially travel. I want to see more of the US and she often is all over the country for work so it could be a great way to see new places and share experiences with a friend or partner if things were to progress. It is clear that it will never be dull when she’s around so would be a really fun person to know. We work in the same industry so understand and fully appreciate the high pressures/challenges of our jobs and the need to let our hair down every now and then.

Comments Really nice people, good overall feeling, good conversation. I had a good time.
I am Interested in Contacting All the men seemed very nice. I didn’t feel an immediate chemistry with anyone. Felt more compatible with L.R. and D.N., though T.A. is a really nice guy, too, less my type.
With whom did I connect best? Why? More with L.R. and D.N. – but I felt like we really didn’t get a chance to talk personally that much. I’m finding that it’s so hard for me to tell from one dinner if we will really connect, I would go out with either of them just to see.

What was your first impression? She is extremely shy? Haha I felt like I had to keep the conversation going a lot. But definitely the best match I’ve met yet.

the date was over?		 R.E. is a nice girl, but very shy. I don’t think she’s not interested. Probably the closest thing to my ideal girl yet. R.E. is one of two of the cutest girls I’ve seen yet.

What were the positives of this meeting? She was laughing a lot, so I’d say that was a good thing. Made me feel good.
Additional Comments R.E.  met a lot of what I was looking for in qualities. Petite, thin, snowboarded, and went out dancing on occassion. Having Blonde hair and blue eyes was a huge plus. R.E. was  shy though and I felt like I was creating the conversation during the dinner but she laughed a lot and began to warm up to me.

Additional Comments I REALLY REALLY like Andrea. We have a lot in common. What makes Andrea even more attractive is the fact that the key characteristics I am looking for in a long term mate are what we have in common. It is always good when two people have a lot in common but it is even better when we have important aspects in common….Same religious beliefs, we are both fairly low key, had the same type of upbringing, both of us are an only child, both of us are involved in a form of fitness, both of us love Disneyland :) etc…

Hitting it off Pretty Well

Hi Anni,   When we spoke last week, I had said that I was keeping Friday night open in case you had a dinner set up.  When I got the green light from you, I called L.I. and I took her to a play.  We had a great time.  Before the play started, we spoke a little about what we wanted out of T46, etc.  I told her that I wasn’t sure about getting into a relationship so quickly and that I wanted to go to another dinner next week.  I could hear the disappointment in her voice when she said that that was fine.   But, by the end of the evening, were hitting it off pretty well and it seemed best to be with her rather than persue someone else.  After the play, we went out to The Roadhouse for food and drinks and the subject of dating came up again.  She began telling me how she was very interested in persuing a relationship with me and then I told her that I was going to contact you when I got home and say that I would like to cancel the upcoming dinner.  She seemed happy with that announcement.  We stayed until about 1:00 a.m. and then kept our original plan of meeting for breakfast the next morning.   She is out of town right now and we have been communicating via e-mail regularly.  We are going to get together on Saturday; not sure what we’ll do, but I’ll figure something out.  You said that you had some information about her and what she likes, do you have a recommendation?   One thing for sure, she has lead, what I would refer to as a bit of a sheltered life.  The play we saw last week was the first one she had ever seen and she rarely goes to see concerts.  This is something I would like to explore with her and I have purchased tickets to see Wicked next month.   Anyway, thanks for the call.
